I always have a hard time spending money on something to hold the money I now have less of. But for the around six dollars that this wallet cost at time of order, I would have no regrets. It is built pretty decent, stitching has stayed in place for me, and the design is nice and vibrant. It holds standard, driver's license sized IDs and credit cards with no issues.I did notice that with 1 license and 3 cards, about 10 bills fit inside and it's still folds up nicely. But if you really stuff it full of dollars or receipts beyond that, it may not fold in on itself as easily. I wouldn't fault the wallet for that, though; just make sure you're not overpaying your kid for allowance and it should be fine. For its current price, I would say it's reasonably well built and a good starter wallet. Plus it comes with various clips and a lanyard, which might be handy if it's for someone with small pants pockets.(edit 2023.12.23) I've been using this as my own personal wallet to see if it could stand up to the normal wear and tear of grown up wallet use... so far, so good, aside from the noted side-eyes from every cashier that sees me with it, and my wife's very obvious embarrassment. This is truly a kid's wallet; don't try to get around that. But that being said, based on how it has stood up to my personal use, I am sill very impressed with its value (durability and functionality vs price) so far.(update 2024.01.11) Still using it daily, still getting dirty looks and comments from my wife, wallet is still going strong, with the lion happily snorkeling away. No loose threads or frayed fold points or anything. I think eventually she might warm up to it.(update 2024.03.20) Mr. Lion is still going strong, though the novelty of publicly annoying my spouse has worn off and I am going to stop using it now, so I don't need to pursue a trial separation of any sort.Long story short, it is a six dollar wallet for kids that has held up to adult-level wear and tear long enough to vastly surpass its price tag. If I could give it extra credit stars, I would, and if this company ever ends up making a wallet for normal, well-adjusted adults for a similar price, I would definitely look in to getting it.
