Bought this to replace a different RC boat we bought on Amazon that didn't last through one charge. Similar price but returned it and picked this one up instead and wow what a difference! This boat works great! This was a birthday present for my 8 year old and he loves it. It's easy to drive and actually goes pretty fast. He drives it in our swimming pool which is the perfect place for this size boat. It cruses across the water with ease. The controls are great, it turns really well and can even take on a bit of water, if other kids are swimming at the same time. It can flip over, but won't take on too much water as long as you flip it back over quickly. The internal circuits are sealed up but the motors might get a little wet, but it doesn't seem to harm them. The boat doesn't exactly go backwards that great, but going backwards is more like a way of stopping fast. The extra battery is great, we charge the one while he uses the other. I haven't timed the run time, but it's around 10 minutes at least. Great toy, great fun. My older son who is 11 wants one but it's probably a little bit too kiddy for him, might want to splurge on something a little bigger and faster for the older kids, but little ones will love this. Can easily recommend. And we've been using this for about a month now and gone through multiple charges on both batteries and have had no issues so far.Nice an shiny. We have taken it to the reservoir and it does great. We are considering a 2nd boat so we can race them. These are the perfect size to play with in a backyard pool or small pond, so that’s our next boating adventure.The batteries for the boat came pre-charged and remote batteries were included, too. It was so easy to use. All we needed was a tiny Phillips head screwdriver for the battery compartment which is pretty standard on all our battery operated toys.A bit small. Looks like a bug in the water. But it's cute and easy to operate. Even for my 7 y/oThe rc water boat is a fast little boat. It does not have a shut off. It shuts off if it is removed from the water. It is fast and easy to maneuver. It has a back up battery when the first one runs out of juice. My son’s enjoy running in the pool. The battery compartment is water proof, so the battery stays dry. I would recommend this boat if you have a child that is into water-type activities.The boat performed great out of the box. It took a few minutes to figure out that the remote controller needed 2 AA batteries since this wasn't written anywhere I saw. However, towards the end of the first battery's life, the battery compartment got flooded. Upon drying, whenever a battery is inserted it causes one of the two propellers to run continuously regardless of water contact. Going to try to look around to see if I can fix it but I feel it had a short 20 min lifespan.I purchased two of these boats and they are worth every cent my son is in love he can't leave them alone long story short you will not regret this purchase it's just good clean fun pretty quick as well good features easy for most kids to pick up the controls just buy it FYI if you have large hands the receiver can feel a tad cramped but still worth it
