Yes, we're those pet parents that buy toys for our dogs' birthdays, this was one of them. Now the pupper that we actually ordered this for wasn't too excited about it when she first got it, it was our older one who took an interest in it. Two of our three dogs are super chewers, one is an Australian Shepard and the other is a Shiba Inu. They will tear plush toys to shreds, rip the fuzz off tennis balls, and chew tough toys to nothing. This tough little alligator is one that's lasted longer than we expected. It's super sturdy and when it drops on the floor, it makes me jump sometimes, so if you have real hardwood, it could potentially damage it. The tail and head are of very hard dense plastic and the center body has a rubber coating around it that neither of the dogs has taken an interest in, they HAVE chewed the tail and face down to nubs and still continue to steal it from one another because they love it that much. 7/10 for durability and that's only because I have yet to find a chew toy that my dogs can't destroy. I would say watch your step because kicking this could cause painful damage to your toes.
