These are great quality beach toy shovels. They have survived numerous beach trips without any of the 4 shovels breaking, cracking, fading, or showing any signs of wear. Under load they will flex not snap. I bought them along side a low cost beach toy kit made in China. One summer of intermittent use and these shovels and a single bucket from the other set are the only survivors. They cost a little more but will outlast cheaper substitutes. Cant beat that American polymer! USA!I have purchased these a couple of times. They are sturdy, colorful and perfect for little kids. My grandchildren love playing with them in the sand or the dirt.I ordered a 4 pack and only received 2 .Two shovels broke within a week of use, the other two are beginning to crack. They emitted no weird chemical smells or odors.We have used these for heavy wet sand, loose dry sand, and sand this is between the two I just mentioned. They were easy for me and my kids to take hold of and carry about the beach. They proved great aid in our hole digging and sandcastle building.I like these shovels are multi-purposeful being useful for not just the sand but for the snow as well as other sensory bin-type materials.In our time having and using these, they have not cracked or broken.
