I ended up having to purchase another turn buckle, two high capacity quick-links, and ten more cable clamps to install this by myself. The turn buckle that comes with kit will tighten the cable about five or six inches. I was not able to pull the other end of the cable tight enough by hand. I resorted to making another "bridal" for the second tree (using left over cable from the kit) and attached the zip-line cable to it (see my photo). I was then able to pull the cable just tight enough by hand that when I tightened both turn buckles (combined I got about a foot of cable slack tensioned out of the line) the cable was taught enough to keep my 155lb self from scraping the ground... but just barely.If you have a come-along you should be able to install fine but I did not have one, which is why i had to purchase the above mentioned hardware.I bought this zip-line for my 3 grandkids and am I glad I did! When I was looking at the different lengths of cable that you can get with it I figured I'd get the longest one I could so I got the 180' one. 180' of zip-line is a LONG ways-before you order it you should measure that distance out and see if it's really going to fit in your yard-you'll be surprised how far it really is. We live in the country and finding 2 trees in the woods next to the house the right distance apart was probably the hardest part of putting this up! Putting this up wasn't complicated-pretty straight forward-directions I thought were clear enough to put it up safely. The hardest part was getting the line tight enough so it didn't sag in the middle and the kids touch the ground when they rode it-just fyi-the longer the cable you order the harder you'll have to work to get it tight.( I think there's some law of physics your dealing with lol) I ended up using my ratchet "come-a-long" and a small chain to get it pulled tight enough. All the parts of the zip-line are well built-I didn't see anything I would be concerned about failing. They include this fancy safety strap that your supposed to have the kids put on in case they let go (???) but I never even opened the package up to use it and my grandkids (ages 6,6 and 8) did just fine without it! I did have some concern on the spring "braking system" in the kit but it worked perfect-even with the kids coming into it at a pretty good speed it compressed the way it was supposed to and stopped them before they'd smack the tree. I would recommend this zip-line,my grand-kids had a great time with it.Kids love it!!! Inexpensive setup that provides hours of entertainment for the kids. NOTE: you need to buy a cable puller to make it tight. The turnbuckle provided is not enough. Great otherwise!Easy to put up and works wonderfully. Fun for kids and adults!What an amazing kit!
