I got this for one of my Christmas gifts and I absolutely love it!!! I really love the designs of each character; there are a lot of little details that make each one special. And they’re all equally really cute, which is kind of important when you have a set of anything.These definitely are not “LEGO” and you can tell just by the pieces. There are some of the standard looking bricks, but also a lot of bricks that LEGO doesn’t make — especially the little decorations that each character has. In fact, the decorations seem to be completely unique for each (like they wouldn’t be used in any other brick set). Those little touches are my favorite part.The instructions are a little different than what you may be used to, but there’s nothing wrong with them at all. I can’t even remember how it’s different anymore, just that I noticed it was. But it didn’t impact the build at all. My 10 y/o son was able to follow them with no problems.My son loves playing with his LEGOs and creating new characters from his special sets. Even though these are cute girls and not dinosaurs/dragons/ninjas, he loves putting them together!! He’s actually put half the set together so far. If he didn’t have to wait for the baby to be napping to put them together (bc there are soooo many choke-able pieces) he’d have been done a long time ago.Some pieces don’t fit EXACTLY together. Like maybe it’s off by the smallest fraction, or it won’t stay ABSOLUTELY lined up with other pieces bc it’s on a swivel. I am super anal retentive about details; my paperback books (even my magazines) look continue to look brand new no matter how many times I’ve read them. And if it were actually noticeable, I’d be unhappy. But, once it’s completed you can’t really tell that some pieces only line up with 99.8% accuracy. If you are more anal retentive or ocd than I am, it may bother you. Tbh, it would have bothered me before I had kids ?.So far I haven’t found any missing pieces (fingers crossed!!) — there are actually extra pieces for each set. Each character came in it’s own package, with one or more sealed packages of brick pieces, instructions, and the black zodiac card that fits in the stand, inside. I REALLY appreciate how organized it was. If I had to sort it all out, it would’ve been a serious nightmare.I haven’t measured, but they are just several inches tall (which is what I saw in some of the pictures, so I wasn’t surprised). I like the size since we’re a military family & often need to downsize for moving. The collection is small enough that I don’t feel guilty for dragging them around everywhere (unlike my heavy collection of books; but kindle is just not the same), but still a nice size for displaying.The only reason I took a star away is bc my set didn’t include the stickers to label the stands. I don’t know if that was an accident or if it was on purpose since the labels are in Chinese characters. The stickers would have been nice bc the base actually looks a little off, like it’s just…missing something (bc it is lol). I haven’t contacted the company, so I don’t know if they could easily send replacements or not. I will probably just end up creating my own labels at some point.Product was a gift for my eight year old grandson’s birthday and it came in a generic box brown box that had no picture of what was inside or had assemble the dinosaur it came with instructions but I thought that was really weird especially for a giftBought this for an 11-year old and he was very happy with it. Good quality pieces and when completed was an impressive looking build.The building kit came in a clear plastic bag w/ a sticker “made in China”. No box or other packaging, the advertised product is deceiving. It was meant to be a gift for an 8 year-old. I gifted it anyway, only had to let the mother of the child know that it came like that. Super unhappy. Do NOT buy.This is NOT Lego brand and it shows. My son wanted this so badly. He loves dinosaurs and he couldn’t wait for this to arrive. I had tried to talk him out of it since it is not Lego brand, but it was a good price so I figured we would give it a try. At almost 8 years old, he is an avid Lego builder. He struggled a lot with this build and needed a lot of help. The pieces are roughly sorted by size, which is not particularly helpful. We dumped them all out and then sorted them by color to make it easier. The instructions were hard to follow. I had to step in and build for him eventually. He was playing with some of the pieces as I was building and eventually it broke in a way that I would have nearly needed to start over. My biggest regret is not shipping the thing back. Totally not worth the money even for a great sale price. I now have a sad child and a bunch of broken pieces.These pieces are so tiny that no one could attempt to put them together. What a headache!You can either put the train by itself or at it as part of the scene it is very easy to build if you follow the directions the only problem I saw and it really wasn't a problem as it came with lights but didn't say where to put the lights
